A beneficiary-CLS graduate receives her Bible from Sis. Helen of  PBS

CFCFFL Work With the Poor (WWP) coordinators & representatives of the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) distributed Holy Bibles to 26 beneficiary-couples of the Mother Of Mercy Restoration Village at their site at Brgy. San Vicente, San Pedro Laguna last June 30, 2009. Those given bibles were recent graduates of the Christian Life Seminar (CLS) attended by the beneficiaries.

The bible distribution is part of the arrangement with PBS for WWP to help in the distribution of May They Be One (MTBO) Bibles to depressed areas. MTBO is a project of CBCP’s Episcopal Commission for Biblical Apostolate to provide bibles to as many recipients as possible. WWP , through donations of CFCFFL members & friends, are getting the bibles at a low price from PBS in order to give them free to WWP beneficiaries at Restoration Villages.

At RVs, the Restoration Teams aims first for the spiritual transformation  of the beneficiaries before other material benefits like shelter are started.  At MOMRV, the CLS were finished first before construction of housing were started. Construction of 4 housing units have just been started.

WWP welcomes help, financial or otherwise, for these programs.
