Work With the Poor

This RV is an example of a CFCFFL chapter’s initiative of providing an opportunity for its own poor members to have its own village. Since 2006, the CFCFFL chapter at San Diego de Alcala Parish at Valenzuela, initiated a savings program where their members regularly save for a fund to buy a lot collectively. Late 2008, they were able to buy a 2000 sqm lot to & subdivided to 70 member families. However, due to the low elevation of the lot, the members have to help infilling the land. They are acting in the spirit of the first Christian community where everyone was one in heart & mind (Acts 4:32).

 

This novel project is just starting. With the lot in place, WWP & the other Social Ministries will help in the succeeding actions plans;

 

1. Community Life – build a community center as a venue the members assemblies & teachings
2. Shelter – build homes for the 70 families
3. Environment – ensure a clean, & beautiful site
4. Education – operate a pre school
5. Health – provide for primary health care seminars
6. Livelihood – continue savings program for income generating projects

 

With the help of friends & members of the CFCFFL community, we can make their chapter’s dream a reality.
