ICMV Pandi Groundbreaking

The Immaculate Conception Mission Village, at Amparo Subdivision, Pandi Bulacan had its groundbreaking ceremony Mar. 29, 2009. The groundbreaking is the formal start of the implementation of the Work with the Poor programs for its 36 beneficiaries.  Most of them are currently undergoing the Christian Life Seminar.

The ceremonies started with a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Noy Gregorio, parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Pandi.

The WWP shelter program will start constructing its first brick houses  at the site using an interlocking brick technology. If found to be technically and economically feasible, there are plans to develop brick making as a livelihood program for the beneficiaries. The other CFCFFL Social Ministries (Education, Health, Livelihood) will start its pilot programs at the site with the view of making the village a model site for all the ministries.

The site is under the able stewardship of Bro. Ed and Sis. Zenie Brigino. After retiring from work in the US, the Briginos  returned to the Philippines and dedicated their time and resources in helping the poor families in Pandi by sponsoring the high school education of poor youth. Prior to their becoming members of CFCFFL and eventually getting involved in its WWP ministry,  they were already helping 50 poor high school students from the town.

CFCFFL leaders present at the ceremonies were  Bros. Rudy Calingo (Bulacan), Oca Oblefias (Luzon), Oland David (Home Office), Alfie Pontejos & Rudy Tamse (Health), Mimi David (Education), Jess Tabora (Livelihood) & Rene Evidente (WWP).

Guests were Congressman Pedro Pancho & Barangay Chairman Leo Principe.
