Work With the Poor

CFC FFL Maryland conducted a Christmas Caroling fund raising for WWP during December 2008. The group sang in front of Filipino-American families in the towns and cities of Maryland and highlighted with a visit to Senior Citizen Nursing Home – bringing Holiday cheers to both the young and the old with Tagalog and English Christmas songs. The fund raising generated a total of $1,230 for WWP. In addition, the CFC FFL  Maryland Chapters participated in the Simbang Gabi masses at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, Bowie MD and Holy Family Church, Mitchelvelle, MD.

The goal is to continue the caroling project and will make it an annual tradition to raise funds for WWP and bring glad tidings to the poorest of the poor families of the Philippines. The CFC FFL Maryland Chapters will plan to include visiting the neighbor state of Virginia and carol to the Filipino-Americans and American families as well. The more houses and families will generate more funds for WWP.
