The Couples for Christ Foundation Inc. and Habitat for Humanity Philippines had its first joint build last Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at Brgy. Hurnalan, Calamba Laguna.

 

 The joint build was for the new home of the Pili children who were orphaned by the reported Laguna massacre which happened last May. Their parents were CFCFFL members. After the incident, the children’s wish was for a sturdy house where bullets can not penetrate. Their experience was that their old bahay kubo were razed by a madman’s armalite bullets killing their parents and 3 other siblings.

 

In said joint build, CFCFI prepared the foundation and flooring while Habitat provided for the steel frames, walling and roofing. The Pili children can transfer to their new home by next week. Photo above shows the Pili Orphans w/ sis. Ana of Habitat and bro. Oca of CFCFFL.  More Photos
