HCV Trainor's Training

The CFCFFL Health Ministry conducted a Health Care Volunteer Trainors’ training last Aug. 15, 2009 at the CFCFFL center, Star Mall. The training program is given to Health Care Volunteers (HCV) to provide them with health awareness and basic competencies to strengthen their individual and collective participation in decision making especially with regards to providing health services to the community;. The emphasis of the training dwells on health as a God-given gift thus must be nurtured.

The participants are expected to spearhead the health program in their own areas to be integrated with other ministries.

The basic training module for trainers consists of 2 parts and the topics for Part 1 include:

1. State of Health in the Country

2. Health Care Volunteer Profile

3. Basic Concept of Health and Disease

4. Recognizing Health Complaints 5. Wellness and Effects of Vices. 6. Emergencies and First Aid.

The training was attended by 17 participants coming from various Restoration villages namely, Novaliches ( Remarville ), Pasig,  Binangonan (Rizal ), Muntinlupa, Laguna,  Bulacan and Cavite.

All participants received certificate of training and a book entitled Gabay at Lunas  sa mga Karaniwang Karamdaman. The books on basic health concepts were given thru the courtesy of Caritas Manila through Fr. Anton Pascual.

The HCV training was coordinated by Work with the Poor through Bro. Isaias Bonjibod.
